KSEE News: Who will pay to clean the air?
The California Air Resources Board tackles the air pollution problems of the
Central Valley often.
Statistics show big rig diesel trucks create much of the Valley's bad air.
To help all of us here breath a bit better, the California Air Resources
Board has proposed a new law that would require all diesel trucks to be
equipped with the latest clean air engine technology by 2010.
Sounds like a great idea.
The problem is, the high cost to become compliant could likely put smaller
trucking companies out of business.
